AI Video Ads in India: FAQ for Founders Before You Order

Updated 5 Oct 2026 by the OnsetFrame team

Before ordering AI video ads in India, founders usually want to know five things. Will the product look exactly like the real one? What can AI show well? Which language should the voiceover use? How many videos should the first order have? How should a preview be checked? Most of these are settled by clear photos from several angles, honest claims, a small first order with varied hooks and a careful preview check.

Will the product in the video look like my real product?

This is the first question, and it is the right one. AI visuals can drift on small details: the logo, the text on a pack, the exact shade of a stone, the shape of a cap. If a buyer gets something that looks different from the ad, they will not trust the brand again.

You can reduce drift by sending sharp photos from several angles, including a close-up of the label. Name the details that must never change. Then reject any frame where they do.

At OnsetFrame, videos are checked by human editors against the real product. Whoever you work with, ask how they check for accuracy and who signs off.

What AI video does well, and where it struggles

AI video works well for mood and setting. A desk accessory can sit in a calm home office. A pendant can catch light on a temple step. A drink can be shown in a monsoon cafe. It also makes it quick to turn one product into many versions with different hooks and languages.

It is weaker where precise physical detail matters. Before you brief, think about which shots your product really needs.

  • Close-ups of hands using the product, where fingers and grip can look wrong
  • Small printed text, ingredient lists and fine labels
  • Moving parts, clasps, hinges and mechanisms
  • How clothing fits and falls on a body
  • Exact food texture, pour or melt

Can an AI presenter talk like a real customer?

An AI presenter can explain the product, show it and invite people to try it. It must never be passed off as a real customer review. Lines like "I have used this for three months" from an AI face are fake testimonials, and they are a fast way to lose trust.

Keep every claim to what your product actually does and what you can back up. Take extra care with skincare, food and wellness products, and get claims checked before the ad runs. If you want real reviews in an ad, use real customers who agreed to it.

Which language should the voiceover be in?

Pick the language your buyers think in. A metro skincare brand may sound most natural in English or Hinglish. A brand selling strongly in one state may do better in that state's language. When you are not sure, make the same ad in two languages and compare the results.

Many people watch without sound, so add captions whatever the language. Check the spelling of your brand name and product name in the captions, and check how the voice says them. A music-only version, with the message carried by on-screen text, is also worth testing.

How many videos should the first order have?

Do not order one video and judge AI ads on it. A single ad tells you about that one hook, not about the format. Most of the learning comes from comparing.

A sensible first order has a few videos for the same product with clearly different openings. For example, one leads with the problem, one with the look of the product and one with the offer. Keep the product shots and the ending similar, so you know the opening caused any difference in results.

Make every version vertical 9:16 for Reels and Shorts. Keep key text away from the very top and bottom edges, where on-screen buttons can cover it.

How ordering works at OnsetFrame

OnsetFrame does not publish prices. You send an enquiry and get a quote. There is no subscription, and orders of 25 to 250 videos are quoted the same way.

Once you accept the quote and pay, you upload your product assets: photos, clips, links and one short card per video. The first preview comes in 1 to 2 business days for a single video, and in 3 to 5 business days for orders of 5 or 10. One round of changes is included. Videos are up to 30 seconds, with voiceover in English, Hindi, Hinglish or major Indian languages, or music only.

How to check a preview before you approve it

Watch it on your phone, the way a buyer will. Watch it once with sound and once without. Write all your changes in a single list, so one round of changes covers everything.

  • Product colour, shape, logo and label match the real item
  • The product and the main point appear in the first few seconds
  • Price, offer and product name are correct everywhere
  • Captions are spelled right and easy to read on a small screen
  • The voice says your brand name the way you say it
  • The ending clearly says what to do next
  • No AI person is shown as a real customer

Questions people ask

Do I need a new product shoot before ordering AI video ads?

Usually not. Clear existing photos often work: good light, a plain background, several angles and a close-up of the label. A short phone clip of the product in hand also helps. Blurry or heavily filtered photos make accurate visuals harder.

Can AI video ads replace real customer reviews?

No. AI ads can show and explain a product, but they must never be presented as real customer reviews or testimonials. If you want social proof, use real customers who have agreed to appear, and keep the AI ad honest about what it is.

How long should an AI video ad be?

Short enough that the product and the main point land in the first few seconds, so even someone who stops watching early gets the message. A 30 second ad gives room for a hook, a demonstration and a clear ending.

Does OnsetFrame need a subscription or monthly retainer?

No. OnsetFrame publishes no prices and has no subscription. Every order is quoted after you send an enquiry.
