How to Turn Product Photos into Video Ads

Updated 18 Sept 2026 by the OnsetFrame team

To turn product photos into a video ad, start with clear photos from several angles, write a script of 60 to 75 words for a 30 second ad, generate the shots with an AI video tool, then add voiceover, music and captions and edit in 9:16. Check every shot against the real product before posting. OnsetFrame does all of this for Rs 1,499 a video, GST included.

Step 1: Pick the right photos

AI video tools build motion from what they can see. Blurry, cropped or heavily filtered photos give distorted products.

  • Plain background, even light
  • Front, side and back of the product
  • The label or logo readable in at least one photo
  • One photo of the product in use, if you have it

Step 2: Write the script first

Decide what the ad says before you make a single shot. A 30 second ad has room for one hook, one problem, one product moment and one call to action.

Write the hook for the first two seconds. On Reels and Shorts, most viewers decide to stay or scroll in that time.

Step 3: Generate and select shots

Generate more shots than you need and keep only the ones where the product is exact: shape, colour, label and scale. This is where most DIY ads fail, because a shot can look good and still show the wrong product.

Step 4: Voice, music, captions, edit

Add a voiceover in the language your buyers speak, music that fits the pace, and burned-in captions because many people watch without sound. Export in 9:16 vertical for Reels, Shorts and Meta placements.

Or hand it over

If you would rather not do this yourself, OnsetFrame does every step. You upload your product assets, we send a preview in 1 to 2 business days, and one round of changes is included. 1 video is Rs 1,499, 5 are Rs 6,999 and 10 are Rs 12,999, GST included.

Questions people ask

How many photos do I need for one video ad?

Three to five clear photos are enough for most products: front, side, back and one in use. More angles give more accurate footage.

Can AI make a video from just one product photo?

It can, but accuracy drops. With one photo the tool has to guess the sides and back of the product, which is where distortion comes from.

Which format should the video be?

9:16 vertical works for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Meta ads. OnsetFrame delivers every video in one agreed format, up to 30 seconds.
